Expressing her creativity by emphasizing the indivuality of her models, this is how we could define the style of Samira Nasr, fashion director of Elle US whose work always illustrates the feminine strength. She is now a respected figure for her independence and great generosity. At the head of one of the most emblematic fashion publication in the world, she managed to impose her vision while remaining faithful to the magazine's DNA. This year, Samira came to give her expert eye, passionate by the "street" as member of the first jury accessories of the Festival of Hyères.

What is your biggest source of inspiration?

The street, just people in the street.

Why is Festival de Hyères, for you, so important for young talents ?

Because le Festival de Hyères gives a real platform. And I think in such a crowded field, to be able to have a platform where it's still intimate, but it shines a light on what they do, and how they are unique, it celebrates young creation.

What's your favourite aspect in your job?

The creativity but it's team work. It's never just my vision and my idea. The result is always surpring, interesting and inspiring. It always challenges me and makes me want to do more.

What do you look for in young talents?

A clear idea of their woman or their man. Originality. I guess it also requires to be fearless.

Villa Noailles in three words:

Beauty, Inclusion and warmth.

Does it seem important to you to keep working with luxury artisanal company like Maison Lesage in fashion today?

I think more than ever those houses, thoses crafts and those traditions are more relevant, more important. We need to fight to preserve them and we need to make sure now more than ever that those tradition are passed on and celebrated.

What does La Maison Lesage evoke you:

The most stunning embroideries.

Which woma(e)n who inspire(s) you the most ?

I think women inspire me. I think women, now, this year at this moment, we are finally collectivly coming together, understanding our collective power and that's inspiring. All women inspire me.
