Givenchy welcomes the first signs of Spring 2020 with a new, scaled-down version of its iconic Mystic bag.
Revealed along with the Spring 2020 Pre-collection, the Mini-Mystic — a little sister version of the House’s neoclassic handbag — reprises details found in Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller’s work for Givenchy Haute Couture while highlighting the House’s leatherworking savoir-faire.
In its newest iteration, the Mini-Mystic retains a light, elegant shape and is versatile enough to complement looks for day or night. Crafted in fine calfskin, it is roomy enough to hold the essentials and, like its elder, comes lined in contrasting suede. Connoisseurs will recognize the hallmarks of Givenchy craftsmanship in its hand-stitched details, hand-painted edges, and a stylized double-G clasp in a new, silky gold finish that peeks out from under a V-shaped flap. A removable strap allows the Mini-Mystic to be worn over the shoulder or cross-body in addition to being carried by hand or in the crook of the elbow.
The Mini-Mystic will be available in a selection of seasonal colors, including oil blue, pale pink, tangerine, cherry red, desert and storm gray as well as timeless black leather. An exotic version is available in python.
The Mini-Mystic will be available in Givenchy stores in mid-November.
Retail price: 1,890 euros for leather versions; 3,590 euros for the python version.
