080 Barcelona Fashion holds its third day of fashion shows with the proposals of labels that represent Catalan fashion year after year

080 Barcelona Fashion has kicked off its third day of fashion shows with the proposals of the labels GUILLERMINA BAEZA, LEBOR GABALA, MARTÍN ACROSS, THE LABEL EDITION, CUSTO and AVELLANEDA, which have walked down the catwalk at the spectacular Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site to show their new collections as part of the 30th edition of the Catalan fashion week.

GUILLERMINA BAEZA was the first label to walk down the catwalk on this third day. The brand established by Guillermina Baeza herself, who began her career in the seventies, features a strong presence on the catwalks.

Specialising in swimwear, it presented its "Safari Journey" proposal on the third day of the Catalan fashion week. It is a feminine collection, which is free and connected to nature, worn by its models at noon. Inspired by the representation of a summer safari day, it is born with the sharp contrasts of the sunrise, with the most genuine denim full of silver details. At the peak of the show, it paid tribute to the Queen of the Sun, with pure oranges, tiles with ribbed gold threads and unifying colour prints, followed by shades of khaki and wild prints, shades of pomegranate, mauve, lilac and grey.

LEBOR GABALA, the professional project by Maite Muñoz, was the day’s second proposal. A brand closely linked to fantasy and Irish tradition, it features a sophisticated choice of raw materials, in search of the highest quality.

Maite Muñoz has presented "Indianes", the Spring/Summer 2023 collection that goes back in time to the 16th century, i.e. to cottons and silks with toile de Jouy prints. This time, she has chosen a print that represents exotic jungles and has turned the tradition upside down with intense and bright colours, such as fuchsia, turquoise and leaf green, in loose and airy dresses as well as skirts with large frills, thus referring to its origin, combining it with comfortable linen and cotton dresses in shades provided by nature, satin dresses and openwork sweaters in the same colour range.

080 Barcelona Fashion has also welcomed the proposal by MARTÍN ACROSS, a label that represents a constant journey of exploration as well as a collection of objects and textures with designs inspired by sediments, layers and minerals designed for fellow travellers.

It has presented a collection of postmodern utilitarian designs, inspired by diving and fishing. Experimenting with the classic workman's jacket and 1920s garments, its craftsmanship develops an effect that alludes to a shipwreck, showcasing rope, net and hook details. Soft knitwear, by means of different techniques, silhouettes and prints, emulates the feeling of diving underwater at night, with flashes of light and fluorescent reflections of crawling corals and molluscs.

THE LABEL EDITION (5:30 p.m.), a brand with a 100% digital DNA, created by Véronique Von Siebenthal and Laura Johansson, based on the production of capsules made locally and with limited units, features timelessness, ethical and honest fashion as well as exclusivity.

Verónique and Laura are presenting this evening two collections in the same fashion show, FW22/23 and SS23. The proposals overlap and unite at the same time in terms of their concept: the values that define the prototype of a woman as understood by the brand. The outfits combine garments that transcend fashions and seasons, highlighting a very feminine style, strong and with an attitude, using vibrant materials and colours as well as straighter shapes. Conveying a sexy yet suggestive dimension to the FW22/23 collection and smoother volumes, wider silhouettes and greater fullness for SS23.

CUSTO (7:00 p.m.), a brand with a consolidated image that has been presenting its collections at New York Fashion Week since 1997, could not be left out. Innovation and creativity are the basis of a style characterised by the use of graphics and colour, which has become iconic.

Custo has presented its collection at the Catalan Fashion Week once again. "Light Up" is a new experimental proposal, both in terms of shapes and patterns and the combination of fabrics, while defining a new language that is committed to creativity in all its forms.

Closing the day is AVELLANEDA (8:30 p.m.), a male benchmark in the fashion world. The founder and creative director, Juan Avellaneda, designer, celebrity stylist and style icon, presents the label's new collection this evening at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site.

Avellaneda's FW22 collection is based on an image: the gradient of intense colours, from violet to orange, of Mediterranean sunsets, which translate the designer Juan Avellaneda’s idea of fashion. In this collection, he wanted to give a new twist to designs that he came across with intuitively and that are already essential classics of Avellaneda’s expression: from the tuxedo or the dress with extraordinary fabrics to gorgeous long dresses full of volume, vaporous or aristocratic, designed to cause the final impact. What he presents are his favourite garments in unforgettable colours. In "Sunset Mirage", masculine and feminine, the elegance of the seventies and the communicative effectiveness of social networks coexist.

Thus ends the third day of 080 Barcelona Fashion, which tomorrow will host the last bunch of proposals for the 30th edition.
