A place for experimentation, the Jil Sander Via Sant’Andrea store becomes a site of temporary installations in a unique project designed by Creative Directors Lucie and Luke Meier. Complementing the Milan flagship in Via Pietro Verri, the smaller Via Sant’Andrea space takes on a distinctive new role with rotating exhibitions to explore a range of ideas throughout the year.

“We have many different items that aren’t part of the runway or the campaigns that we really want to be able to show”, say the Meiers. “The space offers a chance to be quite exploratory, and to present things in a different way”.

The inaugural exhibition sees the space transformed into a gallery of down inflation, probing the sculptural properties of this material that are both functional and surreally inflated, featuring puffer coat designs by Lucie and Luke Meier for Jil Sander+ alongside artistic investigations of the material.

Each monthly exhibition will probe new territory, with site-specific installations conceived in collaboration with artists, and presentations that offer a profound focus on slivers of the Meiers’ creations, from the rigorously detailed denim construction of the Jil Sander+ line to the purified and sculptural simplicity of pieces in bare white tones.

A reimagined store that functions as both a retail space and a gallery, the new Jil Sander pop-up project presents a more reflective and examined opportunity to experience the pensive concepts of its Creative Directors.
