CRYPTOFASHION PIONEER BNV LAUNCHES M3TALOVE A Creative Collaboration Between WEINSANTO + K-Pop Sensation LIGHTSUM

Collaboration / Maison - 9/2/22

BNV (Brand New Vision) conceived a world-first edition of NFT wearables/collectables combining Parisian high fashion and the latest in K-Pop for a new and unexpected digital fashion experience named M3TALOVE. Parisian designer Victor Weinsanto was invited to imagine exclusive looks for K-Pop rising stars LIGHTSUM. Taking fashion beyond reality, the eight looks will be minted as NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and expected to drop in October 2022 on bnv.me. “We are proud to be leading the way in the evolution of fashion and building a new Web3 fashion ecosystem," says BNV founder Richard Hobbs.
BNV’s leading 3D artists worked closely with Weinsanto to create the virtual versions of his designs that will be showcased in unique environments to be revealed during Paris Fashion Week on September 26th at the City of Lights’ hottest cultural space 3537. Each of the group members collaborated with Weinsanto, sharing their individual style so that he could create looks that reflect their personality. “My idea was to connect to the LIGHTSUM spirit—each girl has such a strong personality, and that was really inspiring to me,” says Victor Weinsanto, who bonded with the band from his Paris studio while sharing music videos and sketches together over Zoom meetings during the summer. “It is a great honor for us to collaborate with Victor Weinsanto, who is a rising star in the fashion industry,” says LIGHTSUM. “The experience with NFTs and fashion through this collaboration was mind- blowing and so much fun! The designs are all reinterpreted in Victor’s and our own style, and we all presented our own opinions and joined in from the planning stage.”
LIGHTSUM and Weinsanto got together IRL in LA this August at the K-CON festival (the world’s largest fan celebration of Korean pop music and culture) where the band headlined. They are part of the new generation of talent that look to the Metaverse as a space of unlimited possibilities in artistry and self-expression. BNV facilitates this vision through its pioneering technology and stable of creatives, immersed in designing for Web3. “This opportunity to work in the Metaverse gave me additional motivation and impulse. It allowed me to reinterpret and accentuate my own cabaret inspirations, play with effects for virtual fabrics, volumes and colours... and not be concerned with things like gravity!” adds Weinsanto. “Fashion is about the new and experimentation, Web3 and innovative technologies offer a new horizon for both the creative point of view as well as addressing environmental concerns with new supply chain and production possibilities. I like the idea that Weinsanto can now be both virtual and physical.”
BNV’s vision is built on a collective foundation of fashion insiders and insight that aims to manifest unparalleled experiences in the Metaverse, where runway and stage become immersive, interactive, and accessible for all fans. “At BNV we are thrilled to be working with some of the most exciting and talented fashion designers and musicians from all corners of the globe. The collaboration with Victor Weinsanto and Lightsum is a brilliant example of how Web3 combines amazing creative ideas from across industries and genres to create something truly special in the digital world,” explains Hobbs. “As the Web3 ecosystem continues to develop and expand, BNV is in a privileged position, acting as the trusted gateway for fashion designers to take the next step into the digital world. We help to bring their visions to life in the Metaverse,” says Hobbs.
