Unveiled as part of the “Le Paysan” collection, “Le Valérie” is named after Simon’s mother, placing the bag within the House’s roots and in a form of femininity that is timeless and familiar, expressed through the poetry of the everyday.

Crafted in Italy through precise artisanal savoir-faire, “Le Valérie” draws on the codes of a 1930’s handbag. Its single handle and upright construction give it an elegant, almost formal presence.

The silhouette follows clean, trapezoidal lines, part of the Maison’s geometric vocabulary. An architectural outline softened by a fold drawn into the body of the bag and held in place by its signature sculptural ring. A leather lining enhances both durability and tactility, reinforcing the quality of the piece.

“Le Valérie” is brought to life through hours of meticulous handcraftsmanship. Each stage, from cutting to assembly, is entrusted to a dedicated artisan, shaping a construction of 19 leather pattern pieces that define the bag’s structure: 13 forming the body and 6 the handle and shoulder strap, with additional internal reinforcements. This layered construction gives rise to its precise, architectural silhouette and reflects the depth of italian leather savoir-faire behind each piece.

The signature ring clasp in galvanized metal introduces a sculptural, functional detail that defines the bag’s identity, in continuation with the geometrical codes of the Maison, while the bottom feet of the bag add a refined finishing touch. Production takes place in Italy, known for its expertise in leather craftsmanship and high manufacturing standards.

A bespoke personalization service offering direct embossing on leather pieces, already available online, will be introduced in selected JACQUEMUS boutiques from May 2026.
