Located in the centre of Saint-Tropez, La Mistralée townhouse has been welcoming CHANEL's summer boutique for more than ten years now. Its exclusive and annually renewed décor is an invitation to plunge into the world of the House, its codes and its inspirations.
This season, along with CHANEL's emblematic black, white and beige, an ensemble of gradated sunny nuances swathes the entire boutique. The convivial atmosphere expressed from the entrance continues in each space with a stone floor in a multitude of pink and orange tonalities.
Next-door to the hallway, a first space in blueish hues reveals a selection of leather goods, eyewear, perfumes and cosmetics. On the other side of the entrance, a grand salon with a bright summery ambiance welcomes silhouettes and accessories from the Paris – 31 rue Cambon 2019/20 Métiers d'art collection, a veritable celebration of the CHANEL codes. Echoing the silhouettes from the show, the walls are covered with tie-dye wallpaper in shades of orange and pink. Gold coloured metal clothes rails display pieces from the collection in the middle of this room. Fully mobile, they emphasise the idea of movement and the lightness of Virginie Viard's creations. A row of stone benches, covered with linen and velvet cushions, leads clients through to a second salon, bathed in light, inspired by 31 rue Cambon in Paris. The palette of beige, greige, black and whites echoes this legendary address while a glass coffee table on a wheatsheaf evokes the one in Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment. This salon brings together other Ready-to-Wear pieces on black mobile rails, while the shoes, the bags and the small leather goods take their place on bookshelves along the walls. In tribute to one of Mademoiselle Chanel’s fetish symbols, ears of wheat have been positioned in each space. Glass cases display pieces of jewellery and watches, including the COCO CRUSH collections and the latest watchmaking creations from the J12, Première and BOY∙FRIEND collections.
In the garden shaded by palm trees and other Mediterranean species, the swimming pool and the elegant armchairs encourage a leisurely attitude. A few steps away, the pool house has been adorned with CHANEL's emblematic two-tone of beige and black. Inside, against the blush pink contrasting with a black tiled floor covered with a beige rug, we discover a selection of beachwear, swimsuits and beach accessories from the COCO BEACH DE CHANEL collection.
CHANEL's seasonal boutique in Saint-Tropez will be open until October 25th 2020.
