Harmony Korine and featuring Spot, dog-like robots by Boston Dynamics. This video is debuting for the first time on GucciFest.
Harmony Korine holds a creative relationship with the House and with Gus Van Sant. He has appeared in two films directed by Gus Van Sant, ‘Good Will Hunting’ and ‘Last Days’, while he has directed diverse campaigns for Gucci, including the Cruise 2020 collection featuring Sienna Miller and Gucci Mane, as well as Gucci Tailoring campaign with Iggy Pop, Tyler, the Creator and ASAP Rocky.
The viewer is invited into the episode as a voyeur of the characters inside an apartment building. A poem, is being read by the woman sitting outside with a
man, a band rehearses, and Ariana Papademetropoulos is seen painting while on a flower garlanded swing and washing her fake eyelashes.
A member of the rock band is getting dressed in front of the mirror in a new look from the Ouverture collection, a printed red silk shirt with fine white lines and GG motifs and eco-denim jeans. He looks in the mirror and sees himself dressed in the first look from Alessandro Michele’s first men’s collection for the House: a neck tie bordeaux colored silk top, pants and a belt with the GG hardware from Fall Winter 2015. This scene embodies the Creative Director’s approach to his work: how the contemporary is constructed from the past and how a wardrobe should transcend seasonality and trends. Playing one of the neighbours, who is seen hanging wigs to dry on a clothesline, Darius Khonsary, an artist and designer. Ariana removes paint from her paintbrushes with the mysterious flyer of the miniseries.
