Launching October 27th, 2026, the latest Balenciaga Skiwear Collection reaches new levels, with high-performance gear for life on and off the slopes. Designed by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli, technical pieces for men and women are snow sport-tested, while city-ready separates develop a winter wardrobe that transitions from mountainside to après-ski.
Among its advanced material innovations, the range introduces thermoregulating down outerwear in streamlined silhouettes and enhanced layers that comfortably traverse cold climates. Garments crafted from next generation smart textiles ensure warmth, aerodynamism, wind protection, durability, and detection, while select outerwear items are embedded with a RECCO reflector, which passively signals to area professionals, facilitating search efforts in the case of emergency without requiring activation or charging.
Balenciaga logomarks are made functional, as with a Balenciaga Bodies pull tab that loops onto zippers and luminosity-reflecting graphics. Hand-drawn mountain animal hide-inspired prints and faux fur are imagined in high visibility hues. High-collar parkas, reversible blousons, cropped puffers, stola jackets, and snow pants in techno cotton or nylon are expertly insulated and finished for resistance. Lined denim, knitwear, tracksuits, and jersey pieces are made to layer and live in.
Classic Balenciaga bags—Le City, Le 7, Rodeo, and Le City Backpack—are re-imagined in wintery textures and tones: merino shearling, waxed suede, vintage goat, and Arena lamb, in polar blue, storm grey, optic white, rose quartz, light espresso, and caramel.
The outsized Alaska, in boot and flatform mule styles, join the winterized Combat Strike and nubuck-Nappa Arctic, each with strong nylon laces and chunky tread. Ski masks in black and mirrored pink and sunglass styles are designed to block snow-reflected daylight. Other accessories include ski gloves, scarves, earmuffs, beanies, headbands, hoods, and a cotton canvas ball cap with buckling ear flaps.
A dedicated campaign of photographs by Adam Peter Johnson, videos by Robbie Corral, and detail shots by Aude le Barbey highlights the line’s indoor-outdoor versatility, placing pieces in distinctly Parisian rooms that contain surreal, interior snowfall.
