FENDI’s lighting events have seen iconic locations worldwide illuminated all in its yellow color and FENDI Roma logo to mark an historic year for the Maison.
On the evening of November 18 th 2021, FENDI Artistic Directors Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Delfina Delettrez Fendi stared up in amazement at more than 45 digital screens blanketing the iconic Times Square in New York City instantly becoming the talk of the town. The Roman Maison embraced the disruptive spirit and energy of the New York City streets with this digital display in the signature FENDI yellow, which recalls the Roman Sunset.
The magnificent yellow light then landed on the Bund in Shanghai, one month later on December 18th 2021, in celebration of the reopening of the Plaza 66 flagship boutique. Set against the sparkling river and the glittering city lights, the iconic Roman yellow shone brightly, together with the LEDs of the Twin Towers of the Shanghai Global Harbor and the Beijing Jingxin Building. Other chinese cities as Shenzhen, Beijing, Guangzhou and Nanjing joined the takeover momentum with additional projections.
The Shibuya Scramble Crossing in Tokyo marks the third city to be lit up by the special illumination event on the nights of the 24th and 25th December 2021, with eight huge digital signages showing FENDI’s iconic Roman yellow, inspired by sunsets on the Eternal City.
The majestic Burj Khalifa, world’s tallest building, is lit up in yellow on December 25th 2021, with the FENDI Roma logo appearing over three minutes increments of towering iconography, making it the highest logo in the world, almost 1 km high flying towards the skies of Dubai.
In celebration of this iconic year and new beginning for the Maison FENDI sends a positive message as a ray of light towards the world.
