Chloé x Moon Boot is among the first collaborations to debut under the creative direction of Gabriela Hearst.
First appearing on the streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés as part of the Autumn–Winter 2021 runway collection, the boots bring together signature elements from each brand.
This collaboration features two distinct styles: knit melange and shearling. The former comes with two possible colourings (Luminous Ochre and Tannish Brown), while the latter is only available in Luminous Ochre. This pairing presents a remixed, everyday style statement true to Gabriela’s purpose-driven vision: the collaboration is sustainably-oriented through the use of biodegradable sole, recycled laces, and lower impact leather.
The instantly recognisable, padded Moon Boot silhouette undergoes an earthy transformation in the characteristically Chloé tones. The boots feature an integrated sock-effect upper and mountaineering lacing. The Moon Boot logo encircles the upper ankle, only here it has been embossed as a subtler detail.
For the show, the Chloé x Moon Boot styles were worn with knit dresses and the runway-exclusive Sheltersuit patchwork coats– a look that reinterpreted Gabriela’s vision of repurposing and collaging materials to arrive at an instinctive and modern femininity.
The Chloé x Moon Boot collaboration will begin arriving in stores from October 4th.
