Dancing Studies

The celebration of the partnership between Pinault Collection and Bottega Veneta took place yesterday, over dinner at Punta della Dogana, following a private performance by Lenio Kaklea. Compressed metal cubes from the Winder 22 show are used as propos and the costumes for the performances by choreographers Lenio Kaklea and Pam Tanowitz are designed by Matthieu Blazy.

“Essentially, we are exploring movement and the body in motion. Working with Lenio, somebody who uses movement so radically and beautifully, it’s where clothing and a radical sense of self expression collide.” - Matthieu Blazy, Creative Director Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta has partnered with Palazzo Grassi Punta della Dogana Pinault Collection to support ‘Dancing Studies’, an exclusive set of performances by choreographer William Forsythe, Lenio Kaklea, Ralph Lemon and Pam Tanowitz, inspired by the exhibition ‘Bruce Nauman: Contrapposto Studies’, on show until November at Punta Della Dogana. These works explore the pose ‘Contrapposto’, a term in classical art that refers to a twisted standing figure, with the upper and lower body turned in opposite ways – in search of balance.

Bottega Veneta will also be a sponsor for the Biennale Danza 2022, after last years endorsement.
