Marni Balloon Bag: one of the most Marni’s iconic bag returns to the scene, reinterpreted by the creative director Francesco Risso for the Spring/Summer 2021 collection with a new spirit, rooted in the present.
Introduced for the first time in 2007, Marni's Balloon Bag marked trends at the end of the last decade, becoming synonymous with dynamic elegance due to its generous volumes. Appreciated for its minimal style, it abandoned the rigidity of conventional structures to leave room for a relaxed sophistication.
The audacious volume, still the protagonist today, takes on a more elongated profile which translates into a new silhouette. Like in the past, the leather corners, now more accentuated, represent a distinctive element of the design and allow the soft lines to express itself freely. The oval leather handle returns nostalgically, giving form to geometric profiles that capture the attention.
The bold size of the bag dictates its decisive character and makes it recognizable in any possible story with different looks. Thanks to the longer adjustable shoulder strap, in leather and fabric, it can also be worn on the shoulder and cross-body. The cotton interiors are juxtaposed with the rest of the materials while the clip closure guarantees protection.
The bag comes in medium and large versions, in sophisticated silk white and cinnamon colors. It will be available on marni.com, in Marni boutiques, and in selected multi-brand stores around the world starting from mid-December 2020.
