CHLOE CELEBRATES UNICEF'S 75TH ANNIVERSARY WITH AN EXCLUSIVE CAPSULE
COLLECTION

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Chloé has created two exclusive products made from lower-impact materials. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Girls Forward initiative, which supports UNICEF’s gender equality programs in its global aim to provide 6.5 million girls with skills for employability, learning, personal empowerment and active citizenship so they can advance in the workplace.

Both products are made using deadstock or leftover materials, which have been transformed into new designs. Reusing an existing material is always more sustainable than spending resources producing a new one. Upscaling the use of lower-impact materials such as deadstock is part of Chloe’s purpose-driven commitment to driving positive environmental impact.
The white T-shirt and sweatshirt are made from 100% deadstock cotton and feature the cyan blue UNICEF logo. Chloé is the first Maison to include the official UNICEF logo on its products, which is directly applied to the garments in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of UNICEF.

The capsule collection made in honour of UNICEF’s 75th anniversary is the Maison’s latest collaboration in support of UNICEF. Chloé introduced the Girls Forward initiative in 2019 and in March 2020, to coincide with International Women’s Day, unveiled a World Fair Trade Organization approved collection comprising a T-shirt, scarf, bracelet, necklace, pin and pouch designs. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these products went towards supporting UNICEF’s gender equality programs.*

Today, 1 in 3 girls globally is not enrolled in secondary school, and girls aged between 10 and 14 spend 50% more time on household chores than boys of the same age. Women with secondary education can expect to earn almost twice as much as those with no education. Investing in adolescent girls accelerates progress for all – for their families and countries as well as themselves. Through the sale of exclusive cause-related products, the Girls Forward initiative seeks to help young women around the world with skills to advance in the workplace.

Chloé’s partnership with UNICEF echoes the spirit of Gaby Aghion who founded Chloé in 1952 with the mission of giving women freedom to be themselves.

The UNICEF 75th anniversary capsule collection will be available in boutiques and on Chloe.com for a limited period of one month from the 1 until 31 December.
