LES BOUCHES ROUGES: CREATIVE, COMMITTED
British make-up artist Wendy Rowe unveils a collection of six tubes that are just her style: energetic, eclectic and universal. Among them, a poppy hue inspired by the canvases of Andy Warhol, a seventies, slightly orangey red — think all-American, Pepsi Cola
and roller disco and an ultra pigmented brown red, hot as the flames in a fireplace. For her part, Anja Rubik, the first face of the Maison, signs a nude and a red in the form of a manifesto: “Plastic pollution is gradually destroying the oceans. La Bouche Rouge case is plastic free and the color refill is the first environmentally friendly refill with no PP or POM*. I like the idea that buying a lipstick can become activism, the symbol of a conscience!” Only creativity and collaboration will end marine plastic pollution.

IMAGINING THE FUTURE OF TRADITIONAL COSMETICS
FRENCH : The lipsticks are manufactured exclusively in France, by the side of the river Loire, near Orléans.
CLEAN : Because an estimated 1 billion lipsticks are thrown away every year in the world, we designed the first environmentally friendly refill with no PP or POM* (made in Brittany, in the Morbihan).
PURE : Read the list of ingredients in the formula; everything is there — except endocrine disrupters, allergens, polyethylene (PE), polymethyl methacrylate (PPMA) and even perfume.

A START-UP WITH HUMAN VALUES
Water scarcity today represents the leading cause of infant mortality. For each lipstick sold, La Bouche Rouge will donate 100 litres of safe drinking water to Eau Vive Internationale, as part of the Water programme in favour of children. Because while imagining the beauty of the future is great; committing to changing the reality of the world is even better.

La Bouche Rouge was founded in September 2016 by Nicolas Gerlier,- winner of the National Cosmetics Competition of the ICC — Cosmetic Valley. It is the first start-up hosted in research and production by the cosmetology research centre of LVMH (Hélios), and the first cosmetics cell to emerge from Xavier Niel’s Station F.
