NEW YORK, January 2022 — Michael Kors is pleased to announce the launch of the new Spring/Summer 2022 Michael Kors Collection ad campaign, starring model Kendall Jenner.

Photographed on the roof of Prospect Tower in Manhattan by renowned Dutch duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the campaign is a cinematic love letter to New York, the designer’s hometown. Featuring Kendall Jenner in a series of powerful poses against the base of the Tudor City sign, the imagery pays homage to the strength and timeless romance of the city.

“When I think about what endures, it’s love—romantic love, but also love for your friends, your family and for your city,” says Michael Kors. “With this campaign, we wanted to bring to life urban romance and the unique juxtaposition of the strength and grit of New York City with the love that it inspires time and again.”

The Spring/Summer 2022 Collection captures the allure of urban romance through streamlined silhouettes, feminine tailoring, hand-worked fabrics and a confidently optimistic palette. Wearing everything from a structured pencil skirt and bra top to a gingham pullover and brief to a sequined hand-embroidered gown with playful cutouts, Kendall Jenner embodies the sophistication and strength at the heart of the collection. With the iconic Chrysler Building and New York City skyline in the background, the images and styling take the viewer from day to night.

Must-have handbags for the season include the sleek Audrey market bag, the modernist Audrey bucket bag and the woven straw Gramercy minaudière. For footwear, the kitten mule and stiletto sling-back make the case for heels day and night.

The global campaign will debut in January, appearing on global social media platforms, digital outlets and in outdoor media placement, with print ads in spring issues.
