Like an ode to blue jeans, Kim Jones has created an original capsule called Dior Denim, through which he explores the architectural essence of this inherently functional and timeless fabric. Promising a look that is both elegant casual and infinitely modern, the collection combines simplicity and comfort.
The notion of sophistication meets the everyday: a series of items – including pants, shirts and bobs – in different variations of more or less faded materials, offer new freedom of movement. Made from eco-friendly cotton, this ideal wardrobe comes in a range of bewitching shades, from indigo to gray and black. Punctuated by refined details that subtly echo the founding-couturier's heritage, these objects of desire play with the House's emblems: the iconic "Dior" signature is delicately embossed on a leather patch affixed to the back pocket of some pieces, while the Dior Oblique motif is outlined on certain linings, as well as on the B33 tennis shoes completing the silhouettes of the line. Reinterpreted in a version of unprecedented proportions, this exceptional cream and navy toile – dreamed up by Marc Bohan in 1967 – also magnifies a weekender bag.
