Paul Smith, Britain’s foremost fashion and design company and German watch and clock-maker Braun, team up for the second edition in their collaborative design project.
Continuing in the tradition of high calibre brand collaborations, Paul Smith and Braun have teamed up to create the second series of limited-edition clock and watch project, set to launch in November 2021. The collaboration consists of two clocks and a watch.
The BC02 Travel Alarm Clock, the BC17 Wall Clock and the BN0032 Classic Watch, a timepiece that reflects Braun’s core values of functionality, quality, and aesthetics. The BC02 and BC17 are derived from the iconic AB1 and ABW41 clocks designed in the late 80s. All three models remain true to the original design DNA and imprint that have become synonymous with Braun’s award-winning design history.
Each model is available with a white face, with Braun’s iconic yellow second hand being modified to the multicoloured stripe that has become a trademark feature of Paul Smith design. The subtle addition of Paul Smiths unmistakable stripe and logo adds a playful detail to the three timeless designs that prioritise form, function, and clarity. All three models come packaged with bespoke Paul Smith x Braun packaging, the clocks featuring illustrated designs.
Braun is renowned all over the world as the pioneer of good design, the 10 design principles established by Dieter Rams during his time at Braun are even more relevant today and continue to be the guiding force for the design world.
Paul Smith’s creativity extends beyond the realms of fashion and the design mantra “you can find inspiration in everything” has served as the foundation for establishing collaborative projects with world leading design companies.
