Giorgio Armani is awarded the title of Knight Grand Cross by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella

We are pleased to announce that a private ceremony was held this morning at the Quirinale in Rome, during which the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella bestowed the title of Knight Grand Cross decorated with Grand Cordon of the Order of Merit upon Giorgio Armani. The honour, the highest and most prestigious ranking of the Italian Republic, was conferred by decree of the President of Italy in recognition of eminent service.

“This honour holds a particular meaning for me. It came from our President, who is not only the head of state, but also a man whose value, open-mindedness and kindness are unquestionably high. I am proud to represent Italy and I am honoured to receive this prestigious title, which the President is giving me on behalf of the whole country”, said Giorgio Armani.
